These are the places closest to each other where you can
give an equal and sufficient amount of time and enjoy the ambiance, Instead of
rushing into things to see everything in one day.
While visiting these places, do not forget to visit local
markets and buy a memoir in the form of artifacts, apparel, and food items.
Items such as papad, achar, statues, Phulkari embroidery work textiles,
Pakistani juttis, handicrafts, dry fruits, carpets. You can consult locals as
well if you are really into buying something unique.
What to eat?
While you are hustling, do not forget to fill your stomach
with some Punjabi delicacies and savor each bite. Amritsari kulchhe, (stuffed
puffed maida roti cooked in tandoor), Pindi chhole with puri (Chickpea cooked
in dark spicy gravy). Jalebi and Lassi ‘Tusīṁ pajāba ā'ē hō atē lasī dī kōśiśa
nahīṁ kītī?’ (you came to Punjab and haven't tried lassi?) Along with these
delicacies try some regional dishes in roadside dhabas. Most of the dhabbas
have some of the specialty, you just have to dig into it (make sure to have
extra time to hunt such restaurants and dhabbas).
